Standard 3 - Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction and create an environment that facilitates learning for their students.

The Data Analysis Protocol is to the left. This was an assignment for the 450 class that asked us to consider specific levels of student achievement and how to assess success. Did students reach the objectives of the lesson, and how does their evidence support that? This protocol allows an analysis of the amount of students that successfully reached the objectives, and as such, matches element B of the third standard to facilitate learning for students.

This standard was also met in element A with the classroom management and syllabus that I created, to the left. I emphasized my teaching ideas with the classroom physical and experiential layout. I also created a faux syllabus that outlines some elements of classroom culture I'm implementing.

I believe I am advanced on this standard, simply because I have had a lot more teaching practice as an art education student. I have successfully co-taught a class that met once a week for two hours over four weeks of students with disabilities, I have co-taught two 3rd and kindergarten classes every Friday of last semester, as well as all the observations and classroom help I did with cooperating teachers this academic year. In all the classes, only 15% of the students did not meet the objectives of the assignments, speaking to the efficiency of the instruction. I have more to learn, always, but I am confident I can instruct students well. This semester has been a learning experience in individual teaching, with my having taught one class on my own this semester and helping with tutorial groups for AVID all semester.
